Well it might be a little harder writing about myself. 
I am 24 years old and work as an accountant, but my real passion is poultry. I long to live on a farm and have goats, horses and geese as well as my ducks and chickens, but that’s a work in progress. It will come. I will not let go of that dream.
Surprisingly, before I got my first chickens on August 1st 2011, I was TERRIFIED of birds. Any birds.. I didn’t really think I was afraid of chickens per say, but I was scared of budgies, parrots and any pet birds I have been around.
That is until I held my first chicken. Now I am fascinated with any and all species of poultry.
I didn’t hold them without trepidation in the beginning, and it did take some time to calm my anxiety to the thought of them biting or scratching me, but it wasn’t long before I became engrossed in the unprecedented pleasure I felt when I was around them. They make me laugh, they make me smile, and they make me laugh so hard I cry.
